The Hagley Car Show feature field will be glowing from the sunlight striking the brass trim on some of America's oldest vehicles on Sunday, September 20, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. These brass-era beauties will join more than 500 cars, trucks, and motorcycles that illustrate American automotive history. Parking for the Car Show is on-site. Advance tickets at a discount may be purchased in the Hagley Store or the Hagley website beginning June 1.

Brass era cars or "horseless carriages" mark the beginning of automotive history, when vehicles had fancy brass trim and lanterns. From the 1890s until 1916, these wood and forged steel beauties ruled the road. The Hagley Car Show special feature will include a 1907 Autocar Runabout, 1909 Mitchell Open Touring, and 1911 Ford Touring among this special group.

"Visitors will be treated to some of the finest early automobiles on the east coast," says John McCoy, Hagley Car Show chair, "People of all ages will enjoy these horseless carriages as well as the many vintage vehicles on the general field. Come to Hagley and enjoy the show!"

Visitors can also try video and pedal-powered go-kart racing, watch vehicle parades, enjoy motoring music and festival food, and delight in walking around a room full of fabulous operating vintage jukeboxes.
