The following are events that families with children will enjoy.
September 19 - Sunday - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hagley Car Show
Browse through more than 500 antique and restored cars that date from the early nineteen-hundreds to the nineteen-eighties. The show features vehicle parades, motoring music, video racing, a pedal car course, a juke box display, and a festival food court. Activities are on Hagley's upper property. Pre-event tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6-14, and can be purchased online or at the Hagley Store. Day-of-show tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-14. The event is free for Hagley members and children five and under Use Hagley's main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.

September 25 - Saturday - 4 to 7 p.m.
Golden Pheasants Harvest Party
Come and enjoy the change of seasons with Hagley's Golden Pheasants Harvest Party. The party will celebrate the beauty of the fall season with music, hay rides, children's games, and a delicious barbecue. Activities include "The Great Explosion" walking tour, pumpkin sculpting by Linda Allan, face painting by Catey Hill, and much more. Advance reservations only. Purchase your tickets online by September 3 and save $10 per adult ticket.

Christmas at Hagley
The1803 du Pont ancestral home, Eleutherian Mills, is decorated primarily in Colonial Revival style for the holidays. Dried flowers, greenery, fruits, and other natural materials create a beautiful holiday ambiance accentuated by soft lights and Christmas music. Exhibit included in regular admission. Free for members. Use Hagley's main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.
January 15, 16, 17 - Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Invention Convention
Children enjoy three days of inventing, experimenting, and interactive educational entertainment. Activities include a Create-an-Invention Workshop where youngsters design and produce gadgets, a Tinkering Table to take apart and fiddle with appliances, a science-related scavenger hunt, and a Toddler Tools area for the youngest with play sets from the kitchen and carpentry shop. Adults $5, Children 4-14 $3.50, free for children under 4, members, and Powder Keg Kids. Admission includes cost of supplies. Use Hagley’Äôs Buck Road East entrance off Route 100 in Wilmington, Delaware.
February 12 - Saturday - 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Victorine’Äôs Valentine Day
Families will love this afternoon of crafts and activities. Visitors taste gingerbread, make a Victorian Valentine using the "scrap" method, write Valentine verses with a quill pen, and design a candy bar wrapper. A special exhibit featuring antique Valentine cards and candy packaging will be on display. Activities are included in regular admission. Use the museum’Äôs main entrance off of Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.
