The following are events that families with children will enjoy.
May 1 - Saturday - 10 a.m. to noon
May Day Nature Walk
Join Hagley staff to honor Sophie du Pont's tradition of a nature walk on the first of May. Visitors will enjoy a tour of Hagley's plants, animals, trees, flowers, and more. Included in regular museum admission. $5 for walk only. Free for members. Use Hagley's main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.
June 11 and 18 - Friday - gates open at 5 p.m.
Wilmington Trust Presents Fireworks at Hagley
Hagley presents a pyrotechnic masterpiece that weaves together a story illustrated through music, narration, aerial shells, and intricate set pieces. Must be a member of Hagley to purchase tickets. Rain dates June 12 or 13 and June 19 or 20. Use Hagley's Buck Road East entrance off Route 100 in Wilmington, Delaware.
June 15 and June 20 - Tuesday and Sunday - 1 to 4 p.m.
Gunpowder in American History
Hagley Creek Kids invite families to learn about the different uses for gunpowder in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Programs include music, games and leisure activities, history, food, and make-and-take crafts. Included in regular museum admission. Free for members. Use Hagley's main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.
July 7, 14, 21, 28 - Wednesdays - 5 to 8 p.m.
Bike and Hike
Bring your bike or walking shoes to Hagley every Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy the riverside and wooded trails through Hagley's scenic property and picnic along the Brandywine River. Admission is $2 per person. Free for members. Use Hagley's main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Hagley Car Show
Browse through more than 500 antique and restored cars that date from the early nineteen-hundreds to the nineteen-eighties. The show features vehicle parades, motoring music, video and go-cart racing, and a festival food court. Activities are on Hagley's upper property. Admission charged. Advanced ticket sales begin in June. Free for Hagley members and children five and under. Use Hagley's main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Christmas at Hagley
The1803 du Pont ancestral home, Eleutherian Mills, is decorated primarily in Colonial Revival style for the holidays. Dried flowers, greenery, fruits, and other natural materials create a beautiful holiday ambiance accentuated by soft lights and Christmas music. Exhibit included in regular admission.
