Collection Abstract: Victor du Pont (1767-1827), the eldest son of Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours, first came to the United States in 1788 as part of the French diplomatic mission. In 1800 he emigrated with his family and set up the firm Victor du Pont de Nemours & Co. The collection consists primarily of family correspondence and business papers.
