Collection abstract: Thomas E. Gillingham (1912-2004) was a geological consultant. He scouted potential mine locations, appraised existing mining operations, and recommended new mining ventures in Africa, Australia, Central and South America, and throughout the United States. His main client was W.R. Grace & Company for whom he served as chief geologist. Gillingham's papers document his career and include subject files, reports, and correspondence.
