Collection Abstract: The Hemmendinger Papers include contributions from a variety of individuals and organizations working the field of color science with a date range from 1931-2000, concentrated between 1960-1985. The collection follows Hemmendinger's work to create color standards and to teach others about color science; and demonstrates his position as an innovator and inventor in the field. The Hemmendinger Papers are arranged in five series, Organizations and Committees, Publications, Courses, Conferences, and Color, representing the span of Hemmendinger's career.
