John F. Tucker Collection

Abstract: The collection consists of official documents, reports, brochures, publications, and ephemera from SEPTA and its predecessors, the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company and the Philadelphia Transportation Company, as well as a maps and publications collected from transit agencies in other cities. Annual reports and books from this collection have been transferred to the Imprints Dept. The collection traces the evolution of the Philadelphia transit system, its extent, routes, and services.
