Wear-Ever, Kensington Ware Collection

Collection abstract: Consists of various drawings, which detail the conception and design of household consumer goods produced by Wear-Ever Aluminum, Inc., a subsidiary of the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa). Of the 489 drawings in the collection, 367 show Wear-Ever and Kensington Ware aluminum products (1922-1960) such as coffeepots, teakettles, pots, pans, and Kensington giftware. The rest of the 122 drawings are those of electric household appliances from the 1970s and 1980s. The more significant drawings are designs by industrial designer Lurelle Guild (1898-1986).
