Collection abstract: The Wurts family papers (1699-1964) are a collection assembled by John S. Wurts (1876-1958) from various ancestors on both male and female lines. They include family and business correspondence, diaries, estate papers, maps, engineering drawings, and financial papers such as bills and receipts, promissory notes, and accounts. The largest and most important section pertains to the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company (1805-1869).
