On July 25, 1911, the shipbuilding division of the Pusey and Jones Company in Wilmington, Delaware launched the Lydonia II. The massive yacht was built for Chicago businessman William A. Lydon and designed by noted naval architect William Gardner. This exhibit documents the construction and launch of the yacht in nineteen photographs taken by the company from April 1911 to May 1912.
