The Center for the History of Business, Technology, & Society recently launched a new season of the library’s own research podcast, Stories from the Stacks. The program features interviews with visiting researchers who discuss the discoveries they have made using the unique collections held by the Hagley Library.
Originally launched in 2014 by Center research fellow Gregory Hargreaves, Stories form the Stacks now has over sixty episodes chronicling the wide variety of research conducted at Hagley.
The three newest episodes highlight the depth of Hagley collections, and the range of researchers who use them. Topics include rivalry between the titans of the early automotive industry, the invention of brand names as corporate assets, and the automation of securities exchanges in New York and Chicago. The featured researchers visited Hagley from an engineering school, law school, and urbanism institute, respectively, showing the wide appeal of our collections.
Stories from the Stacks provides listeners with behind the scenes access to the exciting world of research and scholarship here at Hagley. The program is available now on the Hagley website and via your favorite podcatcher.
