John J. Raskob papers

About this collection

    John J. Raskob (1879-1950) was a prominent business and political figure in the early twentieth century. A top financial executive for both E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company and the General Motors Corporation, Raskob was heavily involved in politics, serving as chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 1928 to 1932. He was also a well-known Catholic noted for his charitable giving.
    This digital collection is a small selection of items from the John J. Raskob papers (Accession 0473) collection, largely comprising correspondence and pamphlets dating from 1900 to 1950.
