Science Saturday: Catapults and Pom-kins
Learn about momentum and energy transfer before taking on the challenge of building a catapult to launch a "pumpkin pom pom." Visitors of all ages are invited to discover solutions to science and engineering challenges. This is a drop-in activity, feel free to join the fun at any time from 1 to 4 p.m. Activities are included in admission and free to members. Use Hagley’s main entrance off Route 141 in Wilmington, Delaware.

At Bike & Hike & Brews, visitors can stroll, jog, or bike through areas of Hagley property normally closed to foot traffic.

Cannon firings in the powder yards demonstrate how black powder was made and used.
In this walking tour of the powder yard, guests experience an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the black powder process and can try their hand at graining some powder. Reservations requested, call (302) 658-2400, ext. 261.
