In collaboration with Longwood Gardens' Community Read, we will:
- Explore how plants grow and eventually make it to our tables.
- Plant seeds in an egg carton and start your own mini-garden.
- Learn how to care for your garden and find delicious recipes and inspiration in Black Food: Stories, Art and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora, for adults, and Bring Me Some Apples and I'll Make You a Pie: A Story About Edna Lewis for young readers.
- Enter a raffle to receive a prize including a ticket voucher to Longwood Gardens good for up to 4 complimentary tickets and a sample-size pack of African Diaspora collection seeds from Truelove Seeds!
Visitors of all ages are invited to discover solutions to science and engineering challenges. This is a drop-in activity, feel free to join the fun at any time. Activities are included in admission and free for Hagley members.
