Summer Saturdays at Hagley
Spend a summer Saturday at Hagley and explore the world of archaeology! Hagley machinists will also be on hand to demonstrate how they operate machines in Hagley’s nineteenth century machine shop. Activities are included in admission and free to members. Use Hagley’s main entrance at 200 Hagley Creek Road in Wilmington, Delaware.
In this walking tour of the powder yard, guests experience an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the black powder process and can try their hand at graining some powder. Reservations requested, call (302) 658-2400, ext. 261.
Cannon firings in the powder yards demonstrate how black powder was made and used.
See the museum in a different way during a Sunday Stroll- take a leisurely walk on areas of our property normally only accessible by bus.
At Bike & Hike & Brews, visitors can stroll, jog, or bike through areas of Hagley property normally closed to foot traffic.
Don’t miss Delaware’s best fireworks show! This members-only event is held each year, two Fridays in June. It is a spectacular evening of family fun.
