Twilight Tours Preview Night
Start your holidays on Tuesday, December 12, at our holiday preview night. On this special night we will offer a relaxed evening at Hagley. Begin at the Visitor Center with refreshments followed by a ride through the illuminated powder yards to Eleutherian Mills. From the bus stop guests can visit the barn and enjoy carols (4:30 – 6:30 p.m.) from a local choir. Guests may visit the du Pont family home at their own pace and take the return bus to the Visitor Center when ready. Last bus departs for the Visitor Center at 8 p.m.
Enjoy a rare opportunity to see Eleutherian Mills, the first du Pont family home built in America, dressed for the holidays and illuminated with softly glowing lights. Lace, fresh greenery, poinsettias, and dried flower arrangements adorn holiday displays throughout the residence. This year there will be a special focus on entertaining. This experience begins in the Visitor Center, and includes music, and activities.
CoroAllegro Chamber Group will be providing the holiday music. For more information on concerts and the group visit http://www.coroallegro.com.
For the remainder of the month, on each Tuesday and Wednesday evening (December 13, 19, 20, 26, 27), traditional guided tours will be held.
