Among the clients of Victor Dallin's company were wealthy owners of large estates. Included in this subset of images are homes designed by prominent Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer. "Dauneport", located along Old Kennett Road near Centerville, was built in 1932 and designed by architect Mary Craig.
Sam Riddle, Glen Riddle, Pennsylvania, 1931
Estate and farm of Sam Riddle, owner of champion thoroughbred, Man O' War. The estate was donated to establish a community hospital in 1951.
George M. Elkins , Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, 1939
"Briar Hill" on Flourtown Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County. The home of George M. Elkins built in 1922 by architect Horace Trumbauer was demolished in 2005.
P.A.B. Widener, Elkins Park, Pennsylvania
"Lynnewood Hall" built for P.A.B. Widener was completed in 1901. Like "Briar Hill," it was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer.
