Collection abstract: The Sperry Gyroscope Company was formed in 1910 by Elmer Sperry in order to develop and manufacture his marine gyrostabilizer, gyrocompass, and high-intensity search light. During the two World Wars, Sperry was one of the nation's most important defense contractors. The records include materials from the advertising, public affairs, and engineering departments.

Collection size: 76 linear feet
