On November 19th, join Hagley conservation staff to learn how they combat ten common foes—the agents of deterioration—and how you can apply their approaches to increase the longevity of cherished photographs, books, works of art on paper, and ephemera at home.
This program includes an illustrated talk, followed by a Q&A period with specific preservation advice, including how to repair, store, and display items.
Please note: Hagley cannot provide conservation treatment for damaged objects that are privately owned but can offer guidance on local qualified professionals available for hire. Similarly, Hagley cannot provide monetary evaluations for collections. Handouts will be provided with contact information for appraisers, framers, storage material producers, and conservators to keep your collections intact for years to come.
