On May 8th, the Hagley Museum and Library and the Middletown Historical Society will co-host "ARMCO Night at the Movies" at the Sorg Opera House in Middletown, Ohio.
The movie night will feature four films sponsored by the American Rolling Mill Company (ARMCO) and will lead off with a debut of the newly restored The Romance of Iron & Steel. Cleveland-based industrial film company, Cinecraft Productions, made the film for ARMCO in 1938, and the Cinecraft film archive landed at Hagley in 2019. ARMCO itself was founded in Middletown in 1899, and they worked with Cinecraft to produce three of the four ARMCO films that will be screened at this event.
