New Project Archivist: Ken White and Marshall Johnson Project

Monday, May 21, 2018

Last month, Gail Stanislow took over as the Project Archivist for the Ken White and Marshall Johnson Papers Processing Project.

Gail graduated from the University of Delaware’s Master’s Program in American History, and received a Certification in both the Museum Studies Program and the Archives and Manuscripts Program, taught by Hagley’s own Michael Nash, Chief Curator of Library Collections, at the time.

She has worked at many of this area’s institutions, including five years in the Winterthur Library, first as an Assistant Librarian for the Audio-Visual Collections and then in the Joseph Downs Manuscript and Ephemera Collections. In her most recent position, she was the Librarian and Archivist for the Brandywine River Museum of Art, a position she held for nearly 20 years.

Gail inherits the project from Becky Koch who was hired as the Conservator and Preservation Specialist at Illinois State University. We thank Becky for her work at Hagley and wish her the best of luck in her new position.
